    Readers will sure like Ryan T. Higgins’ latest installment in his beloved Bruce series. Beginning with the map of Soggy Hollow on the cover beneath the book jacket and the following two-page spread of the Soggy Hollow Community Board—complete with hilarious ads and notices for such neighborhood events as a 5K Turtle Run, Leech Pond swim lessons, and Edible Rocks—Higgins immerses kids in.   The standard math-based introduction to meteorology is going to be Atmospheric Science: An Introductory Survey (2nd edition) by Wallace and Hobbs (). Don't get the first edition as it is dated (!). Along the same lines, but without any consideration of climate dynamics, is Martin's Mid-Latitude Atmospheric Dynamics: A First Course.
